Infosys Fires Hundreds of Trainees After Failed Assessments

Infosys has reportedly terminated the employment of hundreds of trainees who failed to clear an internal assessment. While the exact number remains unclear, sources suggest it could be anywhere between 350 to 700 individuals.

Infosys maintains that these were not forced terminations, but rather a result of trainees not meeting the required standards in their assessments. The company emphasizes that this process is in line with their established evaluation procedures.

However, the move has drawn criticism, with an IT employee body raising concerns with the labor ministry.

The situation highlights the challenges faced by fresh graduates in a competitive job market and the pressures of meeting performance expectations in large organizations.   Sources and related content
